Zuwairatu is the Managing Counsel and founder of Zuwairatu Mantu and Associates. She obtained her LLB from the University of Maiduguri in 1986. She was called to the Bar in 1987. She joined George Etomi & Co. as Pupil in Chambers; Akika, Okoye & Mann and later Anthony Akika & Associates as Associate and becoming a Junior Partner in the firm of Akika & Mantu. She also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in International Tax Law, Robert Kennedy College , Switzerland , Certificate in Legal English for International Lawyers, Hawksmere College , London and International Legislative Drafting Institute a joint program of the Public Law Centre of Tulane and Loyola Law School , New Orleans, Louisiana State, U.S.A.

A widely travelled professional, Zuwairatu has provided consultancy and legal services to clients in the Gambia, Ghana, South Africa, China, Hong Kong, USA and UK , among others. She served as Legal Adviser for delegates in several conferences; and has hosted and provided legal support for seminars and workshops. Her areas of specialization are Taxation, Legislative and Legal Drafting.

Mr. Anthony Akika graduated from the Law faculty of University of Jos in 1983. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1984. He worked at the Department of Public law, Faculty of Law, University of Lagos as a graduate assistant (1985). He worked as Counsel with Alao Aka-Bashorun & Co, Lagos (1985-1988) and Principal Partner at Anthony Akika & Co, Lagos (1988-1999). He was solicitor General/Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice, Lafia Nasarawa State (1999-2002). He holds a certificate in leadership from United Nations University International Leadership Academy Amman, Jordan (1997) and was a Swiss Scholar at the Institute of Federalism , University of Fribourg, Fribourg, Switzerland (1996-1997).

Vivian, a graduate of University of Jos , (1988), holds a National Diploma in Insurance from Ahmadu Bello University , Zaria (1989) and was called to Bar the in 1990.

She worked with Nigerian Reinsurance Corporation, Lagos as a Superintendent, and Godwin Uggah & Co, Jos as a counsel. She joined the private practice of Zuwairatu Mantu & Associates. in 2002. The firm has benefited from her vast experience in Insurance Law and Corporate law.

Maimuna, a graduate of Bayero University Kano, holds a Post Graduate Diploma University of Abuja and was called to the Bar in 1993.

She worked with Nasiha Chambers, Jos; Allied Bank of Nigeria ; Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation (Surveillance Officer) and United Bank for Africa , Plc. Maimuna joined Zuwairatu Mantu & Associates. in 2003 as a counsel with experience in Banking and Corporate Law.

Jennifer, a graduate of Imo State University , Uturu Okigwe (1992), was called to the Bar in 1993.

She worked with OCJ Okocha & Associates, Port Harcourt ; El-Briny Chambers & Associates, Abuja ; U.K Apugo & Co; and Nwosu and Associates Abuja as a counsel. She joined Zuwairatu Mantu & Associates in 2005. She has experience in Litigation and Corporate Law.

Jachike, a law graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University , Awka (2001), was called to the Bar in 2003. He worked with Sir. Clement O. Akpamgbo SAN & Co, Abuja and joined Zuwairatu Mantu & Associates in 2003 as a counsel. He is into Litigation and Legal Drafting.

Zakari Abbas holds a National Diploma and Higher Diploma in Secretarial Administration.

He worked with University of Maiduguri from 1985 to 1991 as Secretary 1; Santory Nigeria Ltd in 1992 as Administrative Officer; A-Z Properties Ltd 1992 to 2001 as Administrative Officer. He joined Zuwairatu Mantu & Associates as Administrative Manager in 2002.

Engineer Usman Mohammed  

Engineer Usman Mohammed holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering. He worked with Vipeg Nigeria Ltd as Field Engineer. He joined Zuwairatu Mantu & Associates in 2002 as Property Manager.

Ibrahim Mohammed

Ibrahim Mohammed holds a Diploma in Business Administration. He joined Zuwairatu Mantu & Associates in 2002 as Office Manager.
